Grinders: What’s up, fellows; today, we are talking about a kind of obvious, foolish topic – actually, it is very important.
Currently, everybody knows – and possibly has used – a grinder; however, as marijuana consumption has evolved through all these years, joint-making ritual has evolved too, so this post focuses on grinders and how they are used.
All about marijuana mincing grinders
Grinders, also called marijuana grinders, mincers or mills – among many other names, are objects – formed by two or three pieces – used for marijuana mincing.
In fact, their initial usage was tobacco or herb mincing; actually, cannabis consumers use it, so they do not waste time undoing a bud with the hands or scissors, and an important stuck resin amount is not wasted either.
It is very easy to use: if you open it, you can see two cavities with some little nails; just put the bud, preferably into the smaller cavity – it can be introduced in any of them. Close the grinder and twist it to both sides, so the nails rub against each other and mince the bud; then, just open it and pick your bud already undone – very easy and fast.
If there is a little resin in the small nails, do not worry; if it does not fall off now, it will do it next time; in fact, there are some grinders with a mesh and a small tank at the bottom, designed to collect the resin from mincing process – nothing wasted.
Subsequently, grinder is a before and after in cannabis consumption; there are countless models, cheap and expensive: next, we mention some of them – easy to buy in your nearest grow:
Plastic grinders
One of the most used and known by everybody; made of plastic, formed by two or more pieces, and, usually, the cheapest.
Electric grinders
No twisting effort: it is automatic; just put the bud inside, and it will undo it fast – slightly more expensive, and you can buy it with or without sieve for excess pollen collecting.
Metal grinders
Slightly more expensive than plastic grinders, but more robust; with or without sieve.
Mill grinders
Just turn the crank to mince your bud – lazier consumers find them easier than conventional grinder.
Wooden grinders
Traditional consumers notice it is a conventional wooden grinder – usually, it is nicely engraved.
Stone grinders
Although less functional than the other models, they are very nice, and, usually, the stone is nicely engraved, so these are almost collector’s-item grinders.
In short, we can find a multitude of grinder models – even can-shaped models, or shaped like different every day, funny objects; just choose your model – actually, grinders make your life easier: gradually, they have become an unavoidable item in smokers’ life.
