Gorilla Glue #4 is one of our new American genetics. Coming from a cross between Gorilla Glue and Sunset Sherbet, this hybrid has resulted in a predominantly Indica strain, vigorous, fast, and of the highest quality.

Cultivation tips

Due to the speed of Gorilla Glue #4, hardly any problems will appear during its development. Insect pests and fungi will barely have time to develop, and thanks to this characteristic, Gorilla strains are suitable even for less experienced growers. Depending on whether it is cultivated indoors or outdoors, the plants will have different traits and recommended growing methods.

For indoor growers

If you decide to grow it indoors, Gorilla Glue #4 will grow quickly, generating a very branched vegetative structure that makes it ideal for SOG and SCROG setups. In approximately eight weeks from the change of photoperiod, Gorilla Glue will have produced enormous resin-covered buds. When grown correctly, yields can reach up to 600 grams per m².

Due to its American origin, this type of seed does not tolerate temperatures above 30ºC very well, and at Gea Seeds we recommend placing the light a few centimeters higher than usual to avoid burning the tips. Regarding electrical conductivity (EC), we recommend that it never exceeds 1.6 – you should be cautious with fertilizers and avoid overfeeding.

For outdoor growers

When grown outdoors, it will produce enormous specimens loaded with long and heavy buds, reaching yields of over one kilo per plant. Despite the size of its buds, this plant is very resistant to fungal pests such as Powdery Mildew or Downy Mildew, making it ideal for more humid climates if grown in the warmest and sunniest months. With plenty of sunlight, resin production will be truly abundant, completely covering the buds and making it perfect for resin extractions.

If sown at the very beginning of the season, Gorilla can reach massive heights. This characteristic will require the use of stakes and nets to support the weight of its large buds and prevent any breakage or bending of the taller branches. Thanks to its speed, harvest can take place at the end of September / beginning of October in the Northern Hemisphere.

Flavor and potency taken to the extreme

This American strain did not become famous by chance – its cultivation in the USA is becoming increasingly common, mainly due to the potency or "high" it provides with every puff. Possibly one of the phenotypes with the highest THC concentration in our catalog, with some plants exceeding 30% – a true beast.

The flavor of this strain is very complex, combining acidic and earthy notes with hints of chocolate. Once inhaled, the effects are almost immediate, delivering a powerful high typical of Indica strains. This high is followed by a deep physical relaxation that will leave you glued to the couch. Ideal for combating insomnia, nervousness, anxiety, and stress.

For extraction lovers

Another of Gorilla’s main features is its ability to produce high-quality resin. As the buds mature, you will see how the shine of the trichomes completely covers the flowers. Once dried and cured, the buds will have that sticky texture so characteristic of BHO-type extractions. If grown with care and following all recommendations, up to 35% of the buds’ weight can be extracted in the form of resin or concentrate – an achievement difficult for other strains to match.

Care during final cutting and trimming

Because of the large amount of resin produced, one of the most critical stages of growing Gorilla Glue #4 is the final cutting and trimming. We recommend handling the plant carefully, without applying pressure to the buds, and using gloves to avoid losing trichomes from the final harvest. Scissors will constantly get stuck and sticky, so the best technique for trimming is patience and careful work.
